Dina is a founder and Managing Director of Mosoci India. With a background in sociology and anthropology she has almost twenty years specializing in qualitative research and ethnography. She is at the forefront of technology trend research in India and works with a global portfolio of companies; including learning journeys, and immersions for innovation teams. Dina brings her unique perspective to understanding the emerging social aspects of new technology and the impact of new media on youth and mobility.
Dina is based in Mumbai, India, with 18 years of experience in the field of qualitative research and ethnography. She set up Explore Research & Consultancy in 1998, which has a portfolio of global clients including MTV, JWT, Unilever, ESPN, HP, JJVC and Microsoft, Pitney Bowes Inc. Her projects have led her to study the impact of technology in rural markets, follow trend-setting youth in urban settings, dig deep into motivations and possible triggers across a wide range of demographic and psychographic groups, explore and identify underlying value propositions and key drivers/barriers in several categories.
Her personal blog is Conversations with Dina. From 2003, she has contributed to building several communities on the internet, such as Worldchanging, Tsunami Help, KatrinaHelp, Asia Quake Help, SkypeJournal and is on the Advisory Board of Global Voices Online. Her efforts have been acknowledged worldwide.
Dina has been a Presenter and Speaker at many international conferences in the US, Europe and Asia on mobile spaces in India, social collaboration technologies, social media and adopting online social tools for research. In July she made a presentation at the Berkman Center of Internet and Society, Harvard University on Youth and Information in Asia and will be at the World Women’s Forum in France, in October, to present a paper on “The new social networks: What do they mean for trust and the way our societies evolve?”
She is currently facilitating and running workshops and learning journeys on the future of social media.

Appeared in three books: The Power of Many: How the Living Web Is Transforming Politics, Business, and Everyday Life, by Christian Crumlish, The Five Keys to Building Business Relationships Online, by David Teten with Donna Fischer and Scott Allen and, Business Blogs – A Practical Guide by Bill Ives and Amanda Watlington.
Written articles in mainstream media on blogging, a chapter in the Worldchanging Book and is frequently invited to participate in Radio and TV shows, with media organizations like the BBC World and CNN-IBN.
